Your Leakage Problem ......................................... Our Concern

YOUR PROBLEM ? ......................... OUR SOLUTION

SOLUTION:

Normally in the basement, the source of leakage is from the cold joints between bottom floor slab and the wall, all around in the corners. The extent of dampness usually depends on the water table in the area and nature of soil. It is always recommended to treat the are externally to give better results. But if it is not possible, it can also be treated from inside by, injecting a water insensitive epoxy grout. FLOWGROUT EPLV is a low viscosity, water insensitive injection grouting material which sets under damp conditions. Drill holes at the appropriate locations and fix PVC nozzles with epoxy mortar. Next day, grouting of FLOWGROUT EPLV can be done through this nozzle, using a grouting pump. Numbers and locations of nozzles can only be decided at site depending on the intensity and pattern of the dampness appearing gradually, dampness will cease to appear. After this area is dry, apply two coats of WATERGUAD A on a cleaned prepared surface. WATERGUAD A is a two part flexible, high performance polymer-modified cementitious waterproofing compound. Overlay this flexible membrane with a cement plaster course, after initially cuing it for 3 to 4 days.

SOLUTION:

The reason for this is that, the filling of the earth at the construction stage was not properly compacted at the plinth level, or with the right kind of soil. Even  improper laying of the  plinth level, or with the right kind of soil. Even improper laying of the bedding concrete below the floor tiles can result into such problems. Remove the affected flooring and the loose concrete of the floor slab. Clean the surface thoroughly and apply a bond coat of FAIRCRETE SB(L) mixed with cement in 1:1.5 proportion when this treatment is tacky, a lay a cement-sand mortar in proportion, mixed with 20% of FAIRCRETE SB(L) by weight of cement, to the required thickness, to level the uneven bedding and re-fix the floor tiles. Maintain the existing floor level. You can also do this repair treatment in small patched where sources of dampness has been identified, provided you can match the existing design of the tiles.
